First Nations Veteran Stories

This Story Indigenous Veteran Screening

This video is a compilation of First Nations Veterans Stories from the Torres Strait, Far North and Central Queensland and the wider Brisbane area. These veterans share some incredible insights not only from their service, but what it has been like to grow up in an ever changing Australia.

We hope this is the first step in preserving many more stories from remote communities.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA) for their support in this NAIDOC week 2023 project.

The full length individual interviews will be available on our website in early 2024.

ANZAC Square Gallery Screening

Uncle Steven Coghill provided us with a warm Welcome to Country as many families and supporters joined us for the premier screening of this compilation at the ANZAC Square Galleries on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.

Below are some images from the evening.
